Opened in 1866, this impressive bridge was the first to cross the Ohio River, connecting the bustling city of Cincinnati to its neighbors in Kentucky, and it continues to be a much-loved city landmark. If the name John A. Roebling sounds familiar, it should. After he constructed the Cincinnati bridge, he went on to design the world-famous Brooklyn Bridge.
